Flat composting

Want to compost, but don't have a backyard? Reduce your kitchen waste and help the environment by composting at home. The City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­has a limited number of $25 worm composters for use in apartments.

Exploring concrete

Ocean Construction on Granville Island holds its 14th annual open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 28. Look for the 175-foot concrete boom extended high above Granville Street Bridge. There will be interactive displays, prizes, balloons and tours.

Sun Run Sunday

The annual Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Sun Run starts at 9 a.m., April 15. Expect delays and road closures within the downtown core and Kitsilano during the morning hours. The Burrard and Cambie bridges will be closed to northbound traffic from 8:30 a.m. to noon/1 p.

Marathon filled

The BMO Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Marathon is filled to capacity. Five thousand racers will run the full 42.1-km point-to-point course on May 6.
