Ocean Construction on Granville Island holds its 14th annual open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 28. Look for the 175-foot concrete boom extended high above Granville Street Bridge. There will be interactive displays, prizes, balloons and tours. Theres also a one-of-a-kind educational ball machine. Visitors will also be able to climb into trucks and onto equipment to honk horns and imagine operating the machinery. Visitors can also talk with experts about recycling waste concrete.
