To the editor: Re: "School board bureaucracy bloated and unnecessary," Feb. 29. Before I put the Courier in the recycling and go on with my day, I just want to say I never thought I'd see such an opinion in print, thought through, and substantiated.

I always enjoy the municipal budget show. It reminds me of when I was a kid and went to the movies; they always started out with cartoons before we got down to the good guys and the bad guys shooting it out.

I'll never forget the first time I met Jim Green.

To the editor: Re: "Class Notes: Looking for balance," Feb. 17. I was interested to read about [school superintendent] Steve Cardwell's comments regarding year-round schooling: specifically, that there has not been much opposition.

To the editor: Re: "Pro-dope VANDU doesn't deserve taxpayer money," Feb. 15 Mark Hasiuk should broaden his understanding of addiction and would do well to read beyond the American-style paradigm of so called "addiction science.

Now thats a lot of poop to scoop I hadnt seen them or heard the clopping of iron on the pavement, but I did see a pile of manure on the street in the Bute/Burnaby cul-de-sac and I immediately knew the equestrian police had passed by.

To the editor: Re: "Park board seizes goat from hobby farm," Feb. 15. Park board commissioner Constance Barnes is outraged over the disposal of petting zoo animals. She's incensed with the turn of events.
