Ren茅e and I decided to get out in the amazing weather on Saturday to soak up some D vitamin and find out where some of our drinking water comes from. So over to Capilano River Park we went. Where we started at. Kind of a nice view.

There's this great little shop on Granville Island that has work from a bunch of different artisans that I try to check out every time I'm there, and last weekend I was so glad I did because I came across these: These carved fish crafted by Ed Brown

Well, my mom sent me some anyhow to complete VIA Sakura Sakura Blog IV. Apparently, they really do go apeshit over them in Japan.

The entire thing isn't technically in Vancouver/the Lower Mainland but coming up on the Olympics the Sea To Sky Highway has gotten (and is continuing to get) a facelift and some more lanes making it perhaps not the most treacherous road in BC anymore
