Now that Christmas is over, when is it officially okay to stash the festive tree away for another year?
Though the 80-foot-tall tree glittering at the šx史茮虛蓹n蓹q Xwtl'e7e虂nk瘫 Square (formerly known as the 麻豆传媒映画Art Gallery North Plaza) will be coming down within the first few days of 2023, many more trees may still be standing tall around 麻豆传媒映画according to locals.
According to Christian tradition, Christmas trees and decorations should stay up until the Twelfth Night (Jan. 5), which celebrates the Three wise Men's visit to Jesus. Leaving the tree and decorations up past that date is considered unlucky.
However, some Vancouverites opt to take down their Christmas tree around the holidays, with almost six per cent of locals doing so between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve/Day.
Yet, most people wait until January.
During the first month of 2023, 19 per cent of people take down their Christmas tree shortly after New Year's Eve/Day and almost 37 per cent put away their tree sometime in January.
However, some folks don't put up a Christmas tree at all, with 12 per cent not owning one and 17 per cent choosing not to put up a tree.
