Watch spooky movies under the stars at Metro Vancouver's last drive-in theatre

Metro Vancouver’s only drive-in theatre plans to spook moviegoers with a Fright Fest of movies every weekend this October

Metro Vancouver’s last remaining drive-in theatre is beginning a month-long Fright Fest, of showings popular Halloween films.

The Twilight Drive-In, at 3350 260 St. in Aldergrove, is airing Hotel Transylvania and Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3.

The musical comedy with main character Rocky Horror was released out of the Disney vault this year to be shown in theatres again, to the delight of drive-in owner Jay Daulat.

 

On Friday October 2 & Saturday October 3 we will be kicking off our October Fright Fest with special 45th anniversary...

“It’s a classic,” he told Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­. Tickets for four of its showings Friday and Saturday sold out quickly.

Sunday, Ghostbusters is planned take the screen at both 7 and 9 p.m. 

Fright Fest will continue the remaining weekends of October, leading up to Halloween, where well-known movies will grace the outdoor theatre’s 40-foot tall screen.

The names of the films scheduled to be played won’t be released until tickets are available to be sold on the theatre’s website, starting Tuesday at 10 a.m.
