Tap & Barrel, which began in 2012 with its first 鶹ýӳlocation in Olympic Village, will open a seventh sprawling location in late 2023/early 2024 in Langley

UPDATE JULY 2024: Tap & Barrel at Willowbrook in Langley will open in August. Original article follows below.

Vancouver-based chain Tap & Barrel has revealed plans for another forthcoming location in the Metro region. For its seventh restaurant, Tap & Barrel will be one of the prominent tenants at the "Courtyard" redevelopment at Langley's Willowbrook Shopping Centre.

Slated to open in late 2023 or early 2024, Tap & Barrel joins already-announced restaurants like Glowbal's Trattoria Italian Kitchen, OEB Breakfast Co., and Red Robin, along with food court mainstays like Chachi's as well as a more , which will feature upscale Japanese dining and a teppanyaki bar.

The Courtyard was announced in the summer of 2021. The development will bring an additional 27,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor space to the mall. The Courtyard will include an entertainment area and nearly a dozen new food and drink businesses.

Unsurprisingly, Tap & Barrel's Langley location will be a big one, spanning two levels with over 14,00 square feet of indoor and outdoor seating - including on a year-round rooftop patio.

A lower-level patio will give diners a view of the live entertainment and events at The Courtyard.

Guests can expect to find Tap & Barrel's menu of approachable comfort-driven fare as well as plenty to drink from both taps and barrels.

The first Tap & Barrel opened in 2012 in Vancouver's Olympic Village. The chain also has locations in Coal Harbour, North Vancouver's Shipyards, and South Surrey, and is the new identity of the iconic Bridges at Granville Island, which debuted in May. Tap & Barrel is also working to open another massive location by late 2023 at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby. The company's sibling spot, Brewhall, is also located in Olympic Village.

"We can’t wait to bring Tap & Barrel to even more communities across the Lower Mainland, where we can share our love of hospitality and supporting our local B.C. purveyors,” said Tap & Barrel’s Founder and CEO, Daniel Frankel in a media release. “As a locally born and bred company, we are dedicated to bringing people together to create meaningful and memorable experiences in unique spaces that inspire dialogue and connection. We are so excited to open our doors and welcome the community of Langley into our home.”
