Still craving some of those Thanksgiving tastes? Maybe you were a guest and didn't end up with a fridge full of leftovers, or you opted for something other than turkey for your holiday meal. If you traded turkey day for the Raptors game Sunday or had to work and couldn't make it to friendsgiving, or you just plain can't get enough of the hallmark eats of our first food-focused fall holiday, you might need to get your hands around a turkey sandwich this week.
No matter how you spent the long weekend, if your tastebuds are still hankering for something smashable that's akin to a plate of early October holiday goodness, several of Vancouver's sandwich-makers are stepping up to heed your call.
If you're looking for a sandwich, it's hard to beat a spot that specializes in...sandwiches. Chinatown's tiny, mighty Say Hey is featuring the Hot Vickie, which they say (hey!) is "Here for a good time, not a long time." The sandwich boasts roast turkey, Vickie’s stuffing, comfort garlic mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, mayonnaise, and cranberry sauce served on a toasted 360 sesame hoagie smothered in hot turkey gravy. The Hot Vickie is available for dine-in only.
