Pizza lovers who work or live in the Cambie/Broadway area will soon have a new spot to check out - and it's replacing another shuttered pizza joint.
, the Coquitlam-based partner brand to popular Pizza Garden, its second 鶹ýӳlocation at 2325 Cambie Street.
The pizza chain's first 鶹ýӳoutpost launched a couple of years ago in Kitsilano. Now La Ruota is moving into what had previously been Assembli, the casual build-your-own pizza and salad restaurant. Assembli closed its doors permanently last fall.
La Ruota makes Neapolitan-style pizza on a handmade crust, with a couple of dozen topping options, including several starring Italian cured meats, and lots of veggie selections, too, blending what they call "new world" pizzas (like Hawaiian) with traditional (like a Margherita). The pizzas are hand-crafted and fired in an imported Italian pizza oven.
The pizza spot offers take-out and delivery.
No date has been set yet for La Ruota's launch on Cambie, but you can follow them on Instagram for updates.
