Taqueria Jalisco is opening its second location in Vancouver. The new restaurant will be on Denman Street near Davie Street.

More Mexican food is coming to Vancouver.

Taqueria Jalisco has announced its second location: the former home of Won More Szechuan on Denman Street.

The restaurant said it's moving to the English Bay neighbourhood in an Instagram post.

"We are proud to announce that due to our remarkable growth in our Surrey location, we are opening a second location in English Bay," .

City documents show they're taking over the recently closed Chinese restaurant, which shut down after 40 years.

Named after the Mexican state of Jalisco, where Guadalajara is, Taqueria Jalisco has been operating in Surrey for years. Along with classic standbys like nachos, tacos and burritos, they also carry a variety of soups, breakfast dishes and tilapia.

The area saw the closure of a different Mexican restaurant last year, when La Catrina Tacos closed.
