One of the biggest fried chicken chains in South Korea, Kyochon has finally landed its first 麻豆传媒映画franchise location.
has just made its debut at 1471 Robson St. The famous "KFC" (aka Korean fried chicken) chain has replaced the short-lived Pizza Maru at the same address. Pizza Maru is also a South Korean fast-food chain.
Launched in 1991, Kyochon grew to have over 100 franchised locations in its home country by 1999, multiplying that presence tenfold by 2003. In 2004, Kyochon went overseas with its first global outpost in Los Angeles.
Since then, Kyochon has added franchises in Malaysia, China, and the Philippines, as well as in the United Arab Emirates.
Kyochon Canada held its grand opening in 麻豆传媒映画on Robson on July 27.
The fried chicken brand prides itself on its three-step saucing technique and its core menu of staple favourites, which is broken into three "series" of items: Honey, Soy Garlic, and Red (spicy).
Kyochon's chicken is available as boneless, drumettes and wings, and drumsticks and can be ordered in pieces, with the option to get mix-and-match sets and meal combos. Sides include garlic butter fried rice, potato wedges, and salad.
Posted hours for the 麻豆传媒映画Kyochon restaurant are Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Customers should take note, however, that as Kyochon address the high volume of guests during its opening phase, the restaurant may run out of chicken; they are posting "sold out" signs on the door accordingly.
