This week-long festival has outdoor art workshops for adults and children

Arts and crafts all day every day for one whole week.

Returning for the fourth year, Create! Eastside Arts Festival, organized by Eastside Arts Society (EAS), is bringing back its traditional all-day outdoor festivities at Strathcona Park for a week this summer.

From creating stamps and painting pottery to building a puppet, the art festival offers several classes for all ages and abilities from July 22 through 28.

Besides handcrafts, this annual art event also features live music and dance performances, a beer garden, public art activations, and an art shop for art lovers.

A curated selection of local handmade artwork and goods will be available at the Festival Art Shop. Additionally, there will be a fully licensed beer garden serving beer, cider, and wine from Strange Fellows Brewing. There will also be a delicious assortment of food from a collection of food trucks, including Camion Café, Midnight Joe's and Varinicey Pakoras.

On the last day of the festival, the Eastside Arts Society will host its popular "Art! Bike! Beer! Crawl Brewery Tour Fundraiser." It is a fun opportunity for participants to walk or cycle to three local breweries and have drinks along the way.

Art workshops are $35 for youth and adults and the flamenco and children’s workshops are $20. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult. The general public can access festival activities with a $20 CREATE! Festival Concert pass (entry for children under age 12 is free).
