Locals are sharing videos and photos from the set of The Last of Us, which is filming in a popular 麻豆传媒映画park.
The popular HBO show is a post-apocalyptic zombie drama starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones), and Nico Parker (Dumbo).
The City of 麻豆传媒映画announced that filming would take place in Harbour Green Park, which runs along Vancouver's harbour directly west of the 麻豆传媒映画Convention Centre and Jack Poole Plaza, from Thursday, July 25 to Saturday, July 27.
Footage from the set shows Bear & Pear Productions Inc. had several picture vehicles in the area for the shoot, including one upside down. The area was also cordoned off to the public and featured a few cranes.
Several people shared photos and videos of a previous The Last of Us filming locations in the DTES and Stanley Park, featuring weathered-looking vehicles, graffiti, and other post-apocalyptic touches.
Season one of The Last of Us was filmed in Alberta, generating over $182 million and creating 1,490 jobs.
Photos and videos of the filming location are being shared by several people on social media with one person commenting that it looked "intense."
