Bella Ramsey, the young star of The Last of Us, has mostly kind words for Vancouver, where the show's second season was shot.
Speaking to entertainment show eTalk at a The Last of Us event, Ramsey talked about enjoying Vancouver, especially after they moved out of the city's downtown. Ramsey plays Ellie in the HBO series, which is based on a video game set in a post-apocalyptic zombie-filled America.
For the second season of The Last of Us, Metro Vancouver (and surrounding areas) filled in for places like Jackson, Wyoming and Seattle.

However, it wasn't love at first scene.
"I first went over there and wasn't sure, but I was living in downtown, and I think downtown living just wasn't for me," Ramsey says in the clip. "I moved out into a little neighbourhood and then I loved it."
In the end, it was Vancouver's natural setting that helped win the actor over.
"It's such a nice vibe there," Ramsey says. "I started to explore the scenery and the nature of it more towards the end, and yeah, absolutely loved it."
Season two of the hit HBO show premieres on Sunday, April 13. Along with Ramsey playing Ellie, the show stars Pedro Pascal as Joel. The season two cast also includes Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Wright, and UBC grad Spencer Lord.
