For the fifth year in a row visitors to Downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»will find ' festive floral trail offering its free flowery path around the city.
The self-guided tour around the city starts Dec. 8, and is available to check out through Dec. 17.
Those following the trail will pass by fashionably festooned mannequins with winter and Christmas themes like the Grinch, Frozen's Princess Elsa, and a "high-fashion Whoville installation."
Given that the Whos of the Dr. Seuss holiday tale looked like they really liked onesies, the village of floral bedecked characters may be quite the sight.
Not everything will be mannequin-based, though. This year's Fleurs de Villes Noel with a festive Porsche (the event's sponsor), a huge present (which you won't be allowed to open), and a floral throne (which you will be allowed to sit on).
Each of the displays is created by local florists.
While the highlights of Fleurs de Villes Noel will be the floral decorations, there will also be four Narnia-themed cafes participating in the area and pop-up flower markets with carollers on Dec. 10 and 17 at Robson and Bute streets (note: part of Bute is a street plaza now).
“The holiday season in our hometown of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is truly a magical time of year, so we’re delighted to be returning for our 5th annual Noel show,” says Fleurs de Villes co-founder Karen Marshall in a press release. The company does similar events around the world.
