Vancouver's towering Christmas tree is getting all lit up soon.
will take place Dec. 1 in front of the 鶹ýӳArt Gallery in šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl'e7énḵ Square, lighting up the evening.
Along with the illumination of the massive decorated tree, there will be live music, free hot drinks, and an appearance from Santa (do you know him?).
Dubbed "Western Canada's tallest Christmas tree," the lighting of the 76-foot-tall tree will also be broadcast on TV, for those not able to go to the free event.
While the event is a fun family-friendly outing, it's also a fundraiser; over the four previous years, it's raised $1.4 million for charities like the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and the 鶹ýӳInternational Children's Festival.
The free evening event starts at 6 p.m. and ends with the lighting of the tree.
On the other side of the 鶹ýӳArt Gallery, in Robson Square, the 鶹ýӳNight Market's winter market will be taking place as well.
