Vancouver's towering Christmas tree is getting all lit up soon.
will take place Dec. 1 in front of the 麻豆传媒映画Art Gallery in šx史茮虛蓹n蓹q Xwtl'e7e虂nk瘫 Square, lighting up the evening.
Along with the illumination of the massive decorated tree, there will be live music, free hot drinks, and an appearance from Santa (do you know him?).
Dubbed "Western Canada's tallest Christmas tree," the lighting of the 76-foot-tall tree will also be broadcast on TV, for those not able to go to the free event.
While the event is a fun family-friendly outing, it's also a fundraiser; over the four previous years, it's raised $1.4 million for charities like the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and the 麻豆传媒映画International Children's Festival.
The free evening event starts at 6 p.m. and ends with the lighting of the tree.
On the other side of the 麻豆传媒映画Art Gallery, in Robson Square, the 麻豆传媒映画Night Market's winter market will be taking place as well.
