If your kids (let’s be honest, you,) missed Santa for two years, go say hi to the Santas at Metrotown this holiday season.

“Santa is back!”

After a two-year long trip to the North Pole, Santa is back at the Metrotown mall as the holiday season rings in.

From Nov. 15 to Dec. 23, shoppers in Metrotown can treat themselves to a family-friendly trip to Santa Land, which will feature magic acts, musical and circus performances for the whole family to enjoy, according to Metropolis at Metrotown’s marketing team.

For those kids who’ve successfully managed to keep off the naughty list, Santa will be waiting in his dazzling winter wonderland, for a picture.

Keep in mind, he will ask you if you were naughty this year.

Against the backdrop of snow and icebergs, photos with Santa can be taken for $10 donation, which will go to

Due to the pandemic, photos with Santa must be booked online in advance at their .

Along with each photo, which will be provided digitally, children also get a candy cane and Christmas activity sheet.

Starting Dec. 1, visitors can also get their holiday gifts wrapped by donation. The proceeds from this will go to .

In collaboration with , the mall is also organizing a toy drive from Dec. 2 to 4, to donate to  .

“We are thrilled to welcome Santa back to Metropolis at Metrotown and provide festive programming for all ages this holiday season,” said Amanda Chung, marketing manager, Metropolis at Metrotown. “Giving back to the community, particularly people in need, is one of the most important lessons of Christmas, which is why our programming revenues will be donated to local organizations. We are very proud to be part of the Burnaby community, and we hope to make a real difference to residents and shoppers this year.”

With higher volumes of shoppers already coming to Metrotown due to stores like  and opening, the organizers are hoping for families to come have fun at the mall and support a good cause.
