Democratic Rep. Judy Chu won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing California on Wednesday. Chu defeated Republican lawyer April Verlato, who is a city council member and former mayor in Arcadia. Chu was first elected to Congress in 2009.

Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing California on Wednesday. Garcia defeated John Briscoe, a Republican and former school board trustee.

Republican Rep. Mike Simpson won a 14th term to a U.S. House seat representing Idaho's 2nd Congressional District on Wednesday, defeating Democratic challenger David Roth.
