Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is going to experience highs 10 C above normal, according to the Weatherhood forecast.

With highs reaching up to 27 C around Vancouver, it's going to be a hot weekend in the city.

The Weatherhood forecast for the next few days shows temperatures in the mid-20s are coming.

The hot weather is expected to arrive on Thursday, May 9, with high temperatures ranging from 22 C in places like UBC to 25 C in East Vancouver.

Along with the hot weather, cloudless skies are predicted, so don't forget the sunscreen when spending time outside. The UV Index for the city will likely be around 6 for the day, .

The hot streak will continue through the weekend, with highs for Vancouver's hottest neighbourhoods, like Killarney, potentially hitting 27 C. The average for this time of year, according to Environment Canada, is 16 C.

Things are expected to begin to cool off on Monday, May 13, when highs are expected to drop below 20 C again.

In a previous interview, an Environment Canada meteorologist told V.I.A. that temperatures will be noticeably higher away from the shoreline; that shift will depend on how far the sea breeze will be able to move cooler air from the ocean into the city.

Right now Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is in its pre-summer period, when streaks of nice weather get people thinking about summer, but cooler, damper spring weather still happens.
