While Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has had a pretty dry summer so far, this week isn't going to dampen that a bit.
A system moving into the area early this week is forecast to bring rain to the city by Wednesday.
According to Weatherhood, there's a 98 per cent chance Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»will see rain on Aug. 9, with some neighbourhoods — Mt. Pleasant and Olympic Village/False Creek area, for example — likely getting more than 15 mm over the course of the day.
Other areas — like Strathcona, UBC or Kerrisdale — will be seeing less precipitation, but still several millimetres.
The rain is expected to arrive in the early morning, peak during midday, and move on around dinnertime.
Clouds from the system are expected to stick around longer with a mix of sun and cloud on Thursday.
While things might feel cooler thanks to the rain, temperatures throughout the week are expected to stay stable with highs in the low 20s.
Right now the 7-day forecast shows the system will be gone by the weekend with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-20s.
