Map: These are the top 5 hottest neighbourhoods in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­this weekend

The Weatherhood daily ranking for the hottest neighbourhoods in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­on Aug. 19 shows that South Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­and Mount Pleasant are the warmest areas, followed by Langara, Granville Island, and Kerrisdale.

While increasing humidity and potential smoke from wildfires will make rising temperatures feel even hotter across Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­this weekend, some neighbourhoods will be warmer than others. 

Temperatures typically vary throughout the city, with neighbourhoods nearest to the water being several degrees cooler than areas more inland. 

Jericho, for example, sits at 14 C just before noon on Saturday (Aug. 19), whereas Mount Pleasant is slightly warmer at 17 C, according to V.I.A's hyper local weather network Weatherhood.

A daily ranking by Weatherhood shows the top five hottest, coldest, wettest, and windiest neighbourhoods across Vancouver. 

On Saturday, South Vancouver took first place as the hottest area in the city with a high of 25.3 C. The second warmest neighbourhood is Mount Pleasant at 24.6 C.

The remainder of the ranking is comprised of, in order from third to fifth place, Langara, Granville Island, and Kerrisdale, all within 24 C. 

According to the Downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Weatherhood station, temperatures will climb up to 26 C on Sunday. Heading into next week, temperatures in the downtown area are expected to drop back down again, with daily highs of 22 C to 23 C expected.
