Perhaps one of Canadian director David Cronenberg's more conventional features, M Butterfly (1993) features neither exploding heads nor any sort of theme-driven plot founded in the exciting world of entomology.
The film (in 35 mm!) is being presented this Thursday, May 6th (doors open at 6:30, introduction at 7:10) at the fabulously posh in conjunction with the , whose production of is set to open on May 29. UBC film studies professor Brian McIlroy will introduce the film and lead a discussion after the show.
