Flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Dublin, Ireland cost significantly less than trips to most European cities.
While trips to Italy or Greece cost nearly $1,500 per person, round-trip flights to the Emerald Isle cost almost half that.
Travellers can find one-way tickets from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport (YVR) to Dublin Airport (DUB) for under $500 on several dates in June and July and then starting again in October.
One-way flights cost slightly less in the fall, with the one-way options starting at just over $450 in the summer and around $400 in October.
For example, a flight departing Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on Oct. 15 that stops in Kelowna and Calgary before reaching Dublin starts at $398 (see slide two). To get the lowest price, tickets must be booked through third-party supplier Gotogate.
Tickets booked directly through WestJet cost only slightly more at $412.
Round-trip flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Dublin, Ireland
Travellers looking for return trips from Ireland will save significantly more money travelling in the fall.
While one-way flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Dublin cost around the same in June and July as in October, round-trip options cost hundreds more.
Most tickets in June through August start over $1,000 for return trips while flights in October start for just over $800.
For instance, a flight departing in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on Oct. 14 that returns from Dublin on Oct. 25 costs $832. The itinerary includes one stop in either direction in Calgary (see slide three).
To score the lowest price, the outbound ticket must be booked through FlightHub and the return directly through WestJet (see slide four).
Located three hours from Dublin, the Irish capital, the stunning Cliffs of Moher is Ireland's most visited tourist attraction. These spectacular cliffs rise an incredible 702 feet at their highest point, just north of O'Brien's Tower. Many people spend half a day viewing the majestic rock faces.
