Hot deal: You can fly direct from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­to Hawaii for only $176

Say "Aloha" to a sweet deal.

Travellers looking for cheap flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­to Hawaii have their pick of several cheap dates this fall.

WestJet's round-trip and one-way options from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­International Airport (YVR) to Kahului Airport (OGG) on Maui cost approximately $100 to $200 less than the cheapest options through other airlines starting in late August and continuing through the third week of September.

Prices jump back up again through October but locals planning vacations in November can take advantage of the cheapest tickets. Prices drop hundreds in the third week of November, with the low-cost options available through the first week of December. Tickets begin to climb up again approaching the holidays.

Return flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­to Hawaii in fall 2024

Travellers looking for return options can find ticket prices starting at under $300 for return, direct flights from YVR (see slide three).

A flight that departs Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­on Nov. 17 and returns from Maui on Dec. 4 costs $281 when booked directly through WestJet and starts at $242 with third-party suppliers (see slide four). 

WestJet no longer includes a piece of carry-on luggage on its lowest fare class. Also, the first checked bag costs $130. Guests may want to compare pricing with other airlines if they are bringing bags or consider upgrading to the Econo class, which includes a carry-on bag (and the first checked one is $110).

Vancouverites looking for a luxury experience on the high seas can sail from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­to Hawaii on a first-class ship this fall. 

The nine-night Hawaiian sailing from Canada Place departs on Sept. 22 and spends five days at sea before making a pair of stops on the Big Island. The second stop is an overnight, allowing travellers to enjoy excursions in magical Hilo. The city is located near , which is home to two of the world’s most active volcanoes: Mauna Loa and KÄ«lauea.
