Holly Ruth Anderson started the Instagram account almost two years ago in order to chronicle "Vancouver's charming (mostly) interwar residential architecture before it's all fodder for the wrecking ball".

Between 1918 and 1939 (the years between WWI and WWII) some beautiful homes were constructed in Vancouver, and Holly regularly posts photos of the fronts of them on her account, shot while gazing from the sidewalk.

She moved here from Winnipeg 25 years ago and when I asked her what inspired the project she told me "I've always loved wandering around looking at all the fab architecture" and "I have watched so many adorable old houses bite the dust and I wanted to try to capture as many of them as I could before that part of Vancouver's history is gone".

Below are 14 of the cutest homes from her stream. Here's hoping they aren't all destined for demolition, and that continues to chronicle them.
