Serious hit-and-run puts man in ICU, police seek driver and witnesses

A serious hit-and-run Wednesday night sent one man to hospital, according to Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­police.

A middle-aged man was crossing Clark Drive at Grant Street from west to east around 9 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 14) when he was hit in the middle of the road by a driver of a black 2011 to 2015 Kia Optima who fled on Clark before police arrived. 

The victim, who is yet to be identified, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in the Intensive Care Unit. 

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Police Department is asking witnesses to come forward and anyone with information to call VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
