Much of Vancouver's shoreline remains underwater after an influx of rain, snow melt, and a king tide storm caused flooding across parts of the city.
More rainfall is expected throughout the region.
In Metro Vancouver, parts of the North Shore, Delta, and Mitchell Island were most affected.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»experienced some damage as well including burst pipes, flooded roads, and backups into underground parking lots, along with several submerged sections of the Stanley Park Seawall and Kitsilano Pool.
The increased water levels have even formed a small island in False Creek.
In anticipation of another king tide, the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Board of Parks and Recreation has left the seawall closure in place.
Despite the restriction and signage, many Vancouverites continue to enjoy the seaside views.
A video shared on Twitter shows numerous locals, many in groups, bypassing a large bright sign reading "seawall closed for maintenance" and "no public access."
The video sparked replies from other locals.
One person sarcastically regards the people in the video as a "fine bunch of law-abiding citizens," while many others point out Vancouverites' apparent disregard for local signage.
Others seem to agree with the bypassing locals.
Some, however, show no sympathy.
