A group of Vancouverites have started a petition to turn the Burrard Street Bridge into the biggest pride rainbow ever.
And it’s not just a symbol of inclusiveness. The rainbow will be printed with thousands of supportive Vancouverites signatures that will be collected around Vancouver, as well as taken from a circulating petition.
It’s nice timing, bringing the positivity back to one of Vancouver’s oldest landmarks.
The rainbow is planned to be unveiled on July 30 to kick off the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Pride Weekend. Welcoming the more than half a million visitors expected for pride, and showing the world the support Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has for the LGBTQ community.
If successful, it will be the largest pride rainbow ever constructed and could make its way into the Guinness Book of World Records.
