Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Coastal Health (VCH) is warning anyone who visited a Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»strip club earlier this week to monitor themselves for symptoms after potentially being exposed to COVID-19.

Health officials say a number of people who attended Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge in recent days have since tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

While the health agency is asking people who were at the lounge between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. from June 21-24, as well as the hours between midnight and 3 a.m. on June 25, to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, it says as long as people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate, meaning they can continue with their usual daily activities.

According to the health authority, common symptoms of COVID-19 can include loss of smell, fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, cough, malaise, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

People who develop any of these symptoms should immediately self-isolate and seek to get tested for the virus.

VCH maintains there is no risk to anyone who attended the lounge outside of the aforementioned dates and times, and says there is no ongoing risk to the community.

In a statement posted to its website, Brandi's Exotic Show Lounge says it is temporarily closed "due to some concerns from VCH," adding that the business plans to reopen soon.

The lounge initially reopened for business on June 18.
