Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­SkyTrain attack leads to seizure of firearms, illicit drugs, $10K cash, homemade weapons

Transit Police discovered a 3D printer, ammunition press, and an improvised explosive device.

Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Transit Police and the Surrey RCMP seized firearms, illicit drugs, $10,000 cash, and homemade devices such as an ammunition press, 3D printer, and improvised explosive device following an attack near a SkyTrain station in Surrey.

An investigation into an attack near a SkyTrain station led to three arrests and seizure of numerous weapons, including firearms, illicit drugs, an ammunition press, and a large sum of cash. 

Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Transit Police (MVTP) responded to a an alleged unprovoked attack on three men near Surrey Central SkyTrain Station just before 9 p.m. on June 21.

Allegedly, one victim was stabbed in the back, another victim was stabbed in the chest, and a third victim was struck in the head with an object and bear sprayed in the face, MVTP state in a news release. 

Two of the victims were taken to hospital and all three men have since physically recovered from their injuries.

MVTP arrested three suspects following an investigation. Charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession for the purpose of trafficking will be recommended and all three suspects have since been released with several conditions pending their next court appearance. 

A residential search warrant was executed on July 5 in addition to the investigation, resulting in the seizure of four firearms, some with illegal modification, and ammunition of varying caliber, bulletproof body armour, illicit drugs packaged in a manner consistent with trafficking, including 195 g of fentanyl, 176 g of crystal methamphetamine, and 57 g of cocaine, as well as approximately $10,000 in cash. 

Authorities also found a 3D printer, an ammunition press, and an improvised explosive device.
