麻豆传媒映画firefighters made an unfortunate discovery in the Downtown Eastside Sunday night (Mar. 12) when they arrived at the scene of a fire.
They had been called for reports of a tent fire around 5:30 p.m. along Hastings Street's encampment near Main St., according to 麻豆传媒映画police. After they put the fire out they found the body of a woman inside.
The cause of her death is under investigation, but early evidence indicates she died before the fire started, according to a media release.
Police and the BC Coroners Service are currently trying to identify the woman.
