Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»firefighters had a busy night attending to several residential fires.

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»firefighters were hard at work last night.

Crews were called to two fires between Friday (March 10) and Saturday (March 11).

While Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) couldn't comment on the first fire, the second blaze was a two alarm fire that occurred around 5 a.m. in a four storey multi-united residential home located at 1575 East 5th Avenue.

"Crews responded very quickly to the fire which was a fully involved suite fire," VFRS tells V.I.A. "There were sprinklers in the parkade but none in the building. There was smoke detectors and alarms that went off that alarmed the occupants to evacuate the building."

Three people suffered injuries, including third degree burns and second degree burns on two people's arms and hands and a child with smoke inhalation. Following the fire 10 residents were displaced.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be an accidental fire and investigators are still on scene.
