TransLink service to remain near regular service levels during day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II

Busses, the SeaBus and most of the trains won't be changing.

With the day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II's death coming rather suddenly, different public and private organizations are dealing with the day differently.

At TransLink, the day will operate much like any other Monday in September, according to a press release from the transit operator.

"TransLink will be operating service to ensure customers can get to where they need to go. Regular fares will be in effect," they note.

That includes regular service on area buses, the SeaBus, the West Coast Express and the Canada Line. The SkyTrain's Expo and Millennium Lines will have normal hours, but the service at peak times will be reduced.

For those who use the HandyDART system, it will be operating at reduced, holiday levels.

While the vehicles on the road will be mostly unchanged, other TransLink services will be reduced, as the Compass Customer Service Centre, Access Transit Customer Care Office and lost-and-found office will all be closed.
