This year's Quadrantid Meteor Shower will peak on January 3rd.Â
Typically, Quadrantid Meteor Showers deliver intense, short bursts of meteors, lasting only a few hours.
Where to look
Fortunately for Vancouverites, the Quadrantids are most visible in the northern hemisphere. The shower will be most visible from within the constellation µþ´Çö³Ù±ð²õ, just beside the handle of the Big Dipper. Increase your chances by lying down and looking towards the North and look at the sky.
When to look
The Quadrantid Meteor Shower is expected to peak from the evening of January 3rd until the early morning of January 4th. Their peak is extremely narrow, so keep your eyes peeled!Â
The meteor shower will arrive just days after the full moon on New Years Day. For optimal viewing, you may want to head to a local mountain or use  to find the best viewing areas around Vancouver.
Why not start 2018 by gazing into the stars?
