Nice weather forecast for Vancouver, except one day this week

Tuesday is the one to watch out for

The sun may be gone for a day, but it'll be back later this week in Vancouver.

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»will see nice weather most of this week, with a short detour into the rain on Tuesday, according to Environment Canada.

The pleasant late-spring and summer-like weather that dominated the weekend will mostly continue, Environment Canada meteorologist Ross Macdonald says, but there will be a blip in the middle of the week.

Monday is expected to be nice through most of the day, he explains.

"The nice weather is going to hang around into tomorrow (Monday)," he tells V.I.A. "The temperatures will cool a bit more tomorrow, but we'll still be right at seasonal."

The seasonal highs for this time of year are around 20 C.

However, rain is expected late Monday night.

"We're going to pivot, though, and I'd say we're going to see a return of unsettled weather on Tuesday," Macdonald says.

About 5 to 10 mm of rain is expected through the day, with precipitation slowing in the afternoon. Tuesday evening there may be some lingering showers, but the system will be on its way out of town.

"Tuesday will certainly be the wet day of week," Macdonald says.

However, it won't be too cool, with highs only dropping to the high-teens. Some neighbourhoods may still hit 20 C (though it'll be a wet 20 C).

Wednesday and Thursday will likely see temperatures climb and the sky clear.

"We kinda bounce back for Wednesday and Thursday," says Macdonald.

Beyond that it's not completely clear what is in store for Vancouver, he adds. It appears that unsettled weather will return for the weekend, but what that means is still being figured out, Macdonald says.

"It's a little too early to see how unsettled," he says.
