Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­residents capture season’s first snowfall (PHOTOS & VIDEOS)

Higher terrain and inland locations have a higher chance to see wet snow this weekend!

Following a recent snowfall warning, high elevation areas of Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­received a light dusting of the white stuff overnight on Friday (Dec. 3). 

Environment Canada’s for much of the region including the City of Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, the North Shore including West Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­and North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Surrey, Langley, Richmond and Delta. Environment Canada released  the morning of Dec. 4.

“Higher terrain and inland locations will have a higher chance to see wet snow this morning. Snowfall amounts will vary from trace to 2-4 cm,” the federal forecaster’s statement reads. “Over Metro Vancouver, western sections and areas near the water are unlikely to see much snow accumulating this morning.”

Another round of snow is possible Sunday night into Monday morning.
