In a Titanic-esque turn of events, the massive residential high-rise Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»House flooded last week, damaging homes and elevators.
In a letter to residents Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»House Management explained a gasket on Level 29 of the building had failed on Thursday, April 15. That led to water cascading through the building.
The issue was reported at 8:50 p.m. and crews got there within half-an-hour, but not before 17 units were directly impacted and three elevators were shut down, according to Westbank, the developer behind the structure.
Repairs are estimated to take a month, though one elevator is back to working order and the other two are expected to be working this week. The building has almost 20.
"Georgia Mechanical is conducting a full investigation to address cause, repairs and prevention. They have been requested to replace all gaskets of this model in the building as soon as possible," states the management.
Some took to social media to share the issue.
