Maybe "garage" would be the proper description of the workshop/tiny venue/office in East Van, but it really looks like a barn, and "barn rock" is more applicable here than "garage rock". And Father John Misty don't play no garages, man!
But sorry, I'll get to the point here. Recently, Father John Misty visited it and performed a wonderful cover of Arcade Fire's song The Suburbs in honour of them being the #1 Canadian band of all time by CBC Music. Watch the video below. It's arguably better than their version, which might actually boost Father John Misty into the seat of the best Canadian musician of all time, were he not from Maryland.
