Little Bit has been missing in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»since June 27.

A puppy is missing after two men allegedly forced their way into a Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»home, assaulted two people, and took several items, along with the little dog named Little Bit.

The incident happened June 27 near the Fleetwood neighbourhood of Surrey. Police were called just before midnight following reports of an assault at a home on the 8900-block of 147A Street.

Two suspects allegedly "forced their way into the residence, where both victims were assaulted and property was damaged," state the police. The two victims were left with non-life threatening injuries.

When the two men left they took several items, and Little Bit.

Police were able to locate the two suspects a few hours later in Surrey's Whalley neighbourhood. Christopher Nygard, 49, and John Harasym, 37, are now facing charges in the incident.

"While the motive is still under investigation, police believe it was not a random act. The investigation is ongoing as officers continue to follow leads and gather evidence in the case," Mounties said in a press release.

However, when police searched the area, they didn't find Little Bit.

Now, they're asking the public for help finding the dog.

Little Bit is a six-month-old miniature pincher/shih tzu cross. She's black and was wearing a black-studded collar when she was taken.

"Police are asking anyone who may have seen Little Bit or may have information about her whereabouts to call Surrey RCMP detachment at 604-599-0502."
