Police have charged a man after a woman allegedly woke up to a stranger groping her in her house.
Surrey RCMP responded to a residence in the 14100-block of 91 Avenue on July 20 at 3:15 a.m. for a report of a stranger sex assault.
The victim screamed for help and the suspect fled.
Jatinder Singh, 24, of Surrey has been charged with break and enter and sexual assault.
Police are releasing his identity and a photograph of him.
"We are releasing a photo of Jatinder Singh as investigators believe there may be more people in our community who have additional information that could assist with advancing the investigation,” says Sgt. Tammy Lobb.
Singh appeared in court but was released.
He is not to have any contact with the victim, be within 50 metres of the victim and can not possess any weapons including knives.
