Police have identified the person of interest in their investigation.
"On July 27, 2024 the individual was identified and spoken to by investigators. Surrey RCMP has removed the video as the investigation continues," an update from Surrey RCMP reads.

Police in Surrey are on the lookout for a "person of interest" after a man allegedly snuck into a woman's house and sexually assaulted her.
The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. on July 20, according to the Surrey RCMP, in the Bear Creek area of Surrey.
"The victim reported that she was woken up by a man groping her in her residence," reads a press release from the RCMP. "The victim screamed for help and the suspect fled."
Police officers patrolled the area with canine teams directly after the report, but no suspect was found.
However, video has been released from a security camera showing a "person of interest," according to Surrey RCMP.
"The person of interest is described as a South Asian man in his early 20s, 5’7 to 5’10 tall, average build, with a dark moustache and medium-length beard, wearing an orange turban, long dark-coloured shorts with a white stripe down the side, a dark blue T-shirt and flip flops," reads the press release. "This individual may go by the name 'Akash.'"
