A Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»restaurant that was destroyed in a fire earlier this year reopened this week in Richmond.
Long’s Noodle House, a 22-year-old restaurant that specializes in Shanghai cuisine, relocated to Admiralty Centre’s food court on McKim Way close to Garden City and Cambie roads, after being damaged by a fire in May.
It now offers a variety of dim sum, noodle and rice dishes as well as appetizers such as wine chicken and spicy pig ears.
Trio Bistro at Admiralty Centre announced on Facebook last month it was closing and the spot would be taken over by Long’s Noodle House.
“Our shop will be transferred to a long-established Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»restaurant…I believe you are as excited as me,” reads Trio Bistro’s post in Chinese.
Long’s Noodle House opened on Main Street in 2001 and was known for its Shanghainese cuisine and handmade dumplings. It received the Chinese Restaurant Awards – Best Shanghainese Cuisine award in 2014.
On May 13, fire crews were called around 6 a.m. to the restaurant where flames appeared to be coming from the back of the single-storey building.
The fire was contained within the restaurant and there were no reports of injuries. Long’s Noodle House has been closed since then.
