No skills required...just an appetite for fun

Some desserts are iconic, and the beautiful French treat known as the is one of them. 

If you've ever walked into s elegant Robson Street boutique and tea room in 鶹ýӳ(or any other Ladurée in the world) and seen a stunning dessert featuring plump raspberries sandwiched between two delicate pink macaron circles with a dew-dotted rose petal on top and wondered "how is this beauty even made?" then the French bakery legend now has a way to tell - and show - you how. 

Ladurée 鶹ýӳhas launched a new , held on Friday and Saturdays from 3 to 5 p.m. at their "Laboratory" location. 

Designed to accommodate a minimum of seven and a maximum of 14 participants, the courses are perfect for besties, a date, or team building. People who have budding pastry chefs at home or in the family should note that the recommended minimum age for participation is 12, though you can reach out to the organizers if you'd like to bring a younger student.

The two-hour class is led by one of Ladurée Canada's own French pastry chefs and will focus on the Ispahan, which entails making the beautifully swirled macaron top and bottom pieces and the rose buttercream, and, most importantly, assembled the stunning treat. In particular, students will be swirling their own components and putting a quartet of Ispahans together to take home.

You'll learn tips and techniques for making pastry staples like Creme Anglaise, Italian meringue buttercream, and macarons, as well as a bit if insight into the origins of the Ispahan. 

During the break, while everything cools down, participants can cool down with some sweet treats and tea or coffee.

Then it's back to work, putting together your masterpieces. Before you know it, you'll have a box of four Ispahan to take home, along with your embroidered Ladurée Pastry Class apron, recipe booklet, and two-pack of the bakery's famous macarons.
