After nearly 15 years, has shut down.
Located at 2666 Granville St near the intersection with Broadway in Fairview, the bar and grill opened up in 2010. The restaurant offered a variety of pub-style food, like poutine, nachos, and wings, along with a more varied menu of broadly European dishes like spaghetti bolognese, Tuscan salmon, and chicken schnitzel.
However, it closed down this fall and is making way for a new restaurant due to open before October ends.
Signs are up for , an East Indian bistro offering a , from street food like different types of pav (Indian buns) or momo (a type of dumpling) to kebabs and tikkas to biryani. There will also be a handful of English pub foods, like fish and chips.
The new restaurant will also keep the bar aspect of the Marquis as well.
