TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 36

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in & around Vancouver. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Lobster Benny ²ú²âÌý - teachers and kids are on holiday until Monday, January 7th, so why don't we stay in relaxation mode for just a little bit longer, too? Schedule a luxurious 'first brunch of the year' at Yew and try the Lobster Benny with perfect, citrusy hollandaise, avocado and pico de gallo.

Lobster PLT ²ú²âÌý - another sumptuous, must-try from Chef Ned Bell, with crispy prosciutto (the 'P' in PLT) buttery brioche and Ocean Wise lobster, of course.

Nutella Creme Brulee & Plum, Blood Orange & Port Sorbet ²ú²âÌý - let this fly under your new year's resolutions radar. Delicious work by pastry chef Bruno Feldeisen.

Lamb Popsicles ²ú²âÌý - as delicious, but slightly different than sister restaurant Vij's version of the dish. Spice up your January with a restaurant-driven trip to Seattle, home of the newly opened Shanik. You'll feel like you're at Vij's, enjoying a bottle of wine and complimentary appetizers while waiting an hour for your table (part of the fun, right?).

Sweet Potato & Saje Scone ²ú²âÌý- home of the best latte found during my latest visit to Seattle. These guys roast their own beans and bake their own desserts. With 13 locations, they're like the Artigiano of Seattle.
