Pillow, three-tiered stand & wooden platten from Ìý- your one stop shop for the baker, hostess or designer in your life this holiday season. The options are seriously endless. And it will feel great to support local while you cross names off your list. The Cross is located on the corner of Davie and Homer in Yaletown.
French MacaronsÌý²ú²âÌýÌý- dare I say, some of the most exquisite macarons in town. Carly, their creator, will be set-up at a pop up booth at The Bay downtown from Dec. 14 - 24 with loads of boxes for sale. I hope to find one or three of these boxes in my stocking (they freeze beautifully).Ìý#TODIEFOR
Ìýby Ìý- these guys know how to have fun and their newly launched wine label (available in BC and Alberta) embodies this spirit. The Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec go for around $15 a bottle - the perfect accompaniment for your holiday parties.
To Die For Banana Bread S'mores in a Jar at Shangri-La Christmas Market -Ìýthis fun idea came from food photographer, . We made them at this past weekend's Christmas market. They were hot sellers, so we're making them again on Sunday, December 16 from 11am - 2pm on the patio of Market by Jean-Georges. Layers: graham cracker crust, banana bread, chocolate, marshmallows (torched on the spot).
Golden Gala & Salish BC ApplesÌý- these have got to be the sweetest I've had and they're from our own backyard. Juice them, bake them into a contemporary Christmas apple crumble or munch on them all day as a snack. The recipe possibilities are endless.
