Starbucks will once again be slinging coffee at 510 West Broadway in Vancouver

You don't hear too often these days about a Starbucks location opening up - considering the company's strategy over the past year or so has been to shutter so many of its Canadian locations, but the global coffee chain has reasserted its claim on a prominent corner in Vancouver.

Signage has gone up on the southwest corner of West Broadway at Cambie indicating Starbucks is indeed returning as a main-level tenant in the newly constructed building there. The coffee chain had been a tenant at the previous building at that corner but closed down in mid-2018 ahead of demolition.

This forthcoming location at the major intersection - which is poised to be an increasingly significant transit hub as the Broadway Subway moves closer to reality - marks a return to the familiar brand to the neighbourhood in general, too. Recently the 'bux shut down its outpost on Cambie just north of Broadway at 8th, and had previously shuttered its branch on West Broadway at Manitoba, which is now an Artigiano

Starbucks at 510 West Broadway joins the already-open TD Bank, and two more food concepts: A pizza spot called Pi Co, and what will be Vancouver's second Jollibee. The Filipino fast-food chain is still prepping its first 鶹ýӳlocation, and also has a franchise in Surrey in the works.
