Vancouver's posh garden terrace set to transform into cozy winter cocktail-fuelled escape

Slip into this upscale oasis in the city for a little holiday merriment.

In the summer months, Vancouverites flock to the elegant rooftop patio bar-restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, but in recent years the chic venue has decked its halls and gotten into the spirit of the season with a festive wintry pop-up.

Reflections: The Winter Terrace is gearing up to return for its 2022 season, featuring holiday decor, cozy vibes, and a heated and covered outdoor bar and lounge setting perfect for festive lunches, post-work drinks, and date nights out.

for Nov. 1, however, the venue will not fully transform into a holiday-themed oasis until Nov. 12 (the restaurant will be closed Nov. 11).

The terrace - and halls - will be decked out with things like garlands and decorative snowflakes and faux fur blankets to keep any chill at bay.

Full details about the Reflections Winter Terrace 2022 offerings have not yet been released, but based on past years, we know we can expect festive seasonally-inspired hot and cold cocktails along with a full bar with beer, wine, and pricey rare pours like high-end cognac for spendier Santas.

Last year, Reflections' winter drinks menu featured jolly libations like the Christmas Mule served in a red copper cup, the Little Helper, served in a Santa-faced mug or the Yule Nog On Log, served in a glass with a tree trunk base holder. Warm drinks (like The Little Rummer Boy - the bar's take on a hot buttered rum) will keep you cozy from the inside out, and Christmas-themed shots can keep the party humming.

For food, The Winter Terrace menu typically showcases seasonally-inspired tapas-style eats including charcuterie boards, pizzas and fries, or entrees like lobster, steak, or hearty bowls. Desserts on offer include more wintry-themed bites like pumpkin cheesecake or a sticky toffee pudding with egg nog caramel.

Reflections: The Winter Terrace is currently accepting reservations for most-sized parties . The venue will be open for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with a set dining experience. Reflections' popular brunch will continue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends. This season's hours are: Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Thursday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday 3 to 11 p.m.

Rosewood Hotel Georgia is located at 801 West Georgia St. in downtown Vancouver.
