Update: Cabaret Bijou has halted ticket sales and has not opened for its run. The production's website states: "Valued customers and supporters of Cabaret Bijou. We are suspending sales temporarily for corporate restructuring. We apologize for any inconvenience. Further information will be made available as quickly as possible."
Ticketholders for performances that were to have happened have been told they will receive a credit for a future show.

What do you get when you cross a "sassy cabaret-style show" with a fine dining experience?
If you're in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»this fall and winter, you get , a new live performance and dinner theatre event touted as "Canada's only gourmet cabaret sensation."
Cabaret Bijou takes place inside a special temporary erected at Vanier Park and styled as "an opulent Spiegel pavilion, reminiscent of La Belle Epoque," creators have dubbed "The Mirror Palace."
"This bejewelled venue is a replica of a 100-year-old turn-of-the-century art deco treasure box, made of hand-crafted woodwork and over 2,000 bevelled mirrors," describes a media release for Cabaret Bijou.
Once inside, guests sit in assigned seats to take in an interactive cabaret-meets-cirque live show, complete with acrobatics and a "splash of vaudeville." The immersive entertainment - suitable for people age 16 and up - is paired with a meal created by Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»chef Sean Reeve (The Mackenzie Room, Say Mercy!, Collective Goods). Think jugglers, contortionists, trapeze artists, and magicians alongside a four-course elegant plated meal.
"Our inaugural show is an opulent feast for the senses," says Cabaret Bijou Artistic Director and show creator Scott Malcolm.
