It's been nearly a year since revealed plans to expand into Vancouver with a downtown location, and now the local all-day brunch restaurant is eyeing a late-August launch.
Hard Bean has enjoyed great success and popularity since its launch in spring 2022 in Port Moody and owner Heather Rhodes said last summer the plan was to open 10 locations within 10 years.
While a second Hard Bean launched in Langley near the end of 2023, the anticipated opening of the restaurant's expansion to 鶹ýӳproper is happening a little later than initially expected.
The Waterfront Hard Bean Brunch Co. will make its long-awaited debut this summer in the space at 909 W Cordova St, which previously was home to the reboot of Don Francesco and, before that, Hapa Izakaya.
The hope had been to open up Hard Bean Brunch Co. in Vancouver's Waterfront area in April or May, but now a rep says the location should be welcoming guests as of August 27.
Hard Bean's menu has a range of dishes, from waffle-crusted wings to a brunch charcuterie board, along with burgers, salads, bowls, egg combos, and French Toast. They're also known for "Brunchy Hour," which is Hard Bean's take on Happy Hour, offered from 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close daily with special deals on select dishes and drinks, like a Breakfast Martini, Caesars, and wine.
No additional Hard Bean Brunch Co. locations have been announced, but last year the business indicated it was hoping to find a fourth home in Kelowna, B.C.
